Intensive Moscow's Attacks Disrupt Electricity In Ukraine's Capital

Power facilities targeted in the region
The country's power facilities have come under increased strikes in recent weeks

During the night, Moscow's aerial assaults have caused power cuts in large parts of Ukraine's capital, the Ukrainian capital.

A number of civilians were hurt while residents in the city's east were left without electricity and faced problems to water systems, as stated by local authorities.

Meanwhile, a seven-year-old child was fatally injured in a different Russian drone strike in the southeastern region in the southern area, as reported by regional authorities.

Moscow has increased attacks on energy facilities over recent weeks, while Ukrainian leadership has requested "concrete actions" from international partners to exert influence on Moscow.

"What is required is not symbolic gestures but strong steps - from the America, European nations and the major economies - in delivering air defence systems and enforcing penalties," he wrote in a public message.

Authorities reported that hundreds of unmanned aircraft and several dozen missiles struck the country's power systems, labeling such strikes as "cynical and calculated" and against "critical infrastructure" as winter approaches.

The energy minister said Moscow was "conducting extensive attacks" and repair crews were laboring to repair systems.

A wave of strikes hit power facilities and civilian homes in Kyiv.

Five out of the nine people hurt in the assaults on the city have been hospitalized, as confirmed by municipal representatives.

Local officials said the city came under heavy assaults during nighttime hours. A minor died and several individuals were wounded.

The assaults come after evenings of air raids in the territory, sections of which remain under the control of invading troops.

The whole nation is under warning for sophisticated projectile assaults, which are more difficult to spot.

Government officials told reporters that Russia was deliberately attempting to damage the country's energy grid, with assaults already affecting gas facilities.

He said energy workers and officials were anticipating additional strikes.
